Things we learned from Chelsea 2-1 Spurs

Article by Lovepreet Deol

Danny Rose's suspension proved costly. Danny Rose is arguably the best left back in the league and not having his presence bombing down that left-hand side of the pitch was a blow. For Chelsea's second goal, when Victor Moses found so much room to somehow bundle the ball in, Kevin Wimmer was too narrow and that allowed Victor to come in and score.

Injuries are killing us. Last season, we were so lucky when it came to injuries, none of our main men had suffered from any major injuries. However, it's been different this season. Hugo Lloris was out for a few games, Harry Kane missed around 7 weeks, Alderweireld hasn't played a minute since he picked up that nasty injury vs West Bromwich Albion, Ben Davies isn't anywhere to be seen and Erik Lamela also hasn't featured for a quite a while. It was evident too, as our bench seemed to be very weak against Chelsea's bench.

Georges-Kévin N'Koudou deserves a start against Swansea. His brief 15-minute cameo didn't lead to much in terms of an equalizer, but it was a good enough as it gave us a new dimension to our play. He's a bit like Aaron Lennon. He get's the ball and he runs. His direct running could come in handy to us and defenders getting tired during the latter part of the game.

No need to panic. We are all gutted about the result, especially after that first half. But people need to get a grip, we are fifth, not bottom. Only one league defeat all season and we still have Toby Alderweireld & Erik Lamela to come back. We haven't even clicked as a team this season and are not doing too bad in the league. Ignoring the terrible European campaign, have some faith, season's not over till it's over...

True,we not doing bad. From what all the pundits were saying, we stopped Chelsea. We were unlucky to out losers. I was proud of the way we played. It wasn't like the times we went into a game against a rampant Liverpool and played to defend, resulting in a large score. I was actually proud of the way the team played. i'm sure the other teams are still to struggle.
