Levy has been at Spurs for 11 years and Harry was our seventh manager. So once we have a new one that is eight. I think consistency is the key to sucess. I ask is it the manager or the chairman that needs changing?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Anonymous10:18 pm

consistency? yes you are right so sack a few more managers to make it level :)

Chairman, Redknapp has done a great job with players such as Modric and Bale who we have all grown to worship, can't say Levy has done anything incredible apart from balancing the books

He blew a ten point lead and showed tactical naivity.
With the squad at his disposal he should have wrapped up 3rd place.
Yes he has taken Spurs into Europe before but I think he's taken teh team as far as his ability allows If Levy thinks someone else can take them onto greater things (Spurs won nothing under Redknapp) then he has to act now rather than in a few months time.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Most of us are not pleased, Chris. The best football we've seen since the 80s, two top fours in a row, fabulous CL run, the players all want him to stay.....but, heh, some fans seem to think they know a lot more than the guys who work with the man every day and they are the fools who are getting their wish now in getting rid of the best manager the club has had since Burkinshaw......and that's a statistical fact!

      Delete
    2. Anonymous3:39 am

You two are right, but a lot of our fans are pleased, its shocking. This is a dark day for Tottenham and I wonder if we can ever compete when we have so many naive fans that won't let us have continuity

Agree, many PL managers would have had third place wrapped up ages ago with the squad he had at his disposal,he took the eye off the ball for the second year running, and paid the penalty for it,simple. Why should he be rewarded with a new contract when he has made so many mistakes.Look at the Villa away game, did he really look like he knew what he was doing?

Levy you are a prick! If this backfires now you are a gonna! And if it is Moyes im ripping my season ticket up - Pienaar will be captain for christ sake. Gutted

  26. Anonymous10:18 pm

No Trophies won , tactically poor & would of left us for England I think Levy had a replacement already back in Feb when England job was around corner .
Harry deserves so much credit for wot he has done but he can't get us to next level & you must think he hasn't signed any good players except VDV

If old gout-face ferguson had been in charge of our team last season we'd have finished at least third. I honestly believe though that if harry goes, modric and others will follow. They'll use it as reason to leave.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous10:19 pm

As an Everton fan Moyes would not be a step forward. As much as he's moved us forward he has gone as far as he can. Gets the best out of a bare bones squad but doesn't know what to do with a fully fit squad and tactics dubious and negative at times

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous10:19 pm

    Levy should go NOT Harry,
    Wheres this proposed New Stadium?
Who blew millions on trying to move to the Olympic Park when NO Spurs fan wants to go there?
Who keeps changing managers on a whim?
All Levys ambition is, is to make more money

    LEVY OUT !!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous10:19 pm

It's just stupid if he does leave. The only replacements I think would work at spurs are Bilic (even though he seems to be going to Russia) or Matinez, his style would fit. Moyes just won't work at Tottenham, and the football would be so boring. Harry although has things wrong with him, he has got us 4th twice and 5th, look what happened to Aston Villa after sacking O'Neil who got them 6th twice in a row, now they're fighting for relagation, Harry should stay on a sortof trial and if he still works, offer him another year. Simple.

Fellow yids your clueless if you think we can get mourinho, what's wrong with moyes, he's done well with everton over the years with no money, we're not a massive club, it's time to sell modric and build on sandros potential change to a 4-2-3-1 with bale in at left back and a creative attacking midfielder infront of him, let's be realistic we won't be able to compete with the best until we get this new stadium, hold out yids, in levy we trust

  60. Anyone considered that perhaps Levy is going after Moyes because he knows that, even with a depleted squad (Bale and Modric at least), he will keep us in relative safety for a couple of years?

Someone asked earlier "where's the new stadium?", well the extra 60-80 million quid from the sale of a couple of assets would grease those wheels and we'd be good hands, boring ones but good none the less.....

I was happy to see Harry stay but if he is gone why not Moyes? He's kept Everton mostlt in the top half over 10 straight years with 1 UCL appearance on a fraction of the budget he would have at Spurs, so why do you think he'd settle for budget players now? He has developed talent like Baines Jagielka and Rooney, so I'd hope for some shrewd signings, development of some of the youngsters and a squad greater than the sum of it's parts

The happy spurs fans at this news are clearly stupid ignorant morons. If chelsea hadn't fluked the CL then would u still be saying this? Pathetic. Tactically inept at times granted (eg villa and bringing on parker and not defoe etc etc) but arry is a magnet for players so modric defo out, can't see adebayor coming back and wouldn't be surprised if others inc bale went too. I am sorry to all who think it's a bad move but stop for a second and think, in what world (not just football) can a manager cost his company £50m with at least one really bad decision and expect to keep his job?

I could be talking about a number of transfers here, Saha did ok so I'll let that slip but was Nelson really the answer and why did we buy Pienaar & Bassong? Both Harry's signings the later of which was doing tremendously well for us until Harry brought players from injury and shot his confidence but I am not...

I am talking about Villa Penultimate game of the season, at 1-0 down with 10 mean we were dominating and was about to throw on JD as we needed a win to go third which we knew we might need, then we strike back and Harry tells JD to sit down and take VDV off for Parker effectively settling for what was a very useless 1 point and we knew that then too.

That for me is enough to lose a man his job, I was screaming at that decision at the time and have wanted him gone from that very moment but not for a minute before I had always backed him.

Thank you Levy for taking a hard decision which will no doubt give you lots of grief.

  71. Anonymous10:08 am

This has been on the cards for a while,Levy found out that Redknapp had done a deal with the agent involved in selling Modric to Chelsea netting him a couple of mill, Levy dug his heels in an wouldn't sell at any price to ensure Redkapp didn't get his bung.Since then he was always going to get rid of him, thats why no money was spent in January.
