Potentially great news for Tottenham fans

There's potentially great news for Spurs fans this afternoon, with a few lines from agent and close friend of Franco Baldini, Mateo Roggi, possibly providing some insight into Spurs' transfer plans this summer.

It's no secret that Lloris is one of the most sought after goalkeepers in world football at the moment, but it now appears that Spurs may resist any approaches for the French stopper after all.

Lloris Staying?
Manchester United, who are expected to lose David de Gea, are thought to be the most likely destination should Lloris leave White Hart Lane, but Roggi seems to understand otherwise.

"I have a brilliant relationship with Tottenham, especially Franco Baldini," Roggi told TMW.

"Tottenham are aiming for the Champions League next year, so they have decided not to sell the two stars in the squad, Harry Kane and Lloris, regardless of price."

Further promising news is circulating this afternoon in the shape of Atletico Madrid star Toby Alderweireld. According to the Daily Telegraph, the defender is hoping to complete a transfer to Spurs after returning from his honeymoon in Bali.

  1. Let's hope both those predictions come true - would be a huge boost to keep Lloris and also Toby would bring much needed reinforcement to our dodgy defence. Would give us a chance of top 4 if Kane can reproduce his form from last season and Lamela keeps improving.

The agents comments re: Kane and Lloris: are from a week ago in response to Spurs rumoured interest in an Italian keeper(I forget his name) who happens to be the client of this agent.
