AVB has agreed to Manage Barca!*

Article by Mark French

I originally wrote the basis of this as my submission to become an e-Spurs contributor. It still applies and I’ve added in the latest “gossip” about AVB from those who claim exclusives or ITK information.

I don’t believe any of the ‘rumours’ that get published in these kinds of articles. I know, don’t slag off fellow writers, but…this is the latest headline from a ‘Staff reporter’ on another blog site, information that has apparently been repeated from a larger website (we can all regurgitate this c-rap can’t we):-

Andre Villas-Boas to leave Tottenham Hotspur at end of the season?

Tottenham Hotspur and manager Andre Villas-Boas could reportedly cut ties at the end of the season.

 - Note that word “could”. I “could” be Spurs next #9.
It claims that AVB has been “dogged” (ooh err missus…) by rumours that after the 6-0 City game, he was up for being dismissed.

- I ask, dogged by whom exactly? Of course there is no evidence to back it up.

It continues by claiming that AVB’s and DL’s relationship ‘has become strained’.

- Where’s that from? Since Harry left the entire Spurs organisation has become tight lipped about EVERYTHING and rightly so. In the transfer market you don’t need to announce who you’re buying.

Also apparently DL hopes that the “former Chelsea Coach” (why not the former Porto Coach or both?) will resign so he doesn’t have to pay AVB compensation.

- Well we all know Danny boy is tight - that’s why he spent all of the Bale money. Honestly, if AVB is not the man I cannot see DL keeping his powder dry and ‘hoping’ not to pay off AVB’s contract can you? No he’d cut and move on, like he did with Harry.

Finally, it says that DL has had a disagreement with AVB over transfers and is already ‘considering replacements’ for him.

- On this, if DL had any issues, he’d take them up with Franco Baldini and not AVB. We may not have had a brilliant start, with some dodgy performances, but taking that into consideration, we are still in 6th place, 2 points off 4th and 7 points off the top!

A month or so ago we had Lamela leaving, Dembele unhappy, Defoe off for sure and Sandro going to Roma (just because they were interested!). We were also buying Pirlo, Hernandez, Benteke and the latest version of Messi/Ronaldo/Bale (fill in as appropriate). We can all see where these ‘truths’ went can’t we?

You expect this from the red top papers, they have nothing better to do as the transfer window doesn’t open until January and most of them hate Spurs anyway, BUT from fellow Spurs fans/e-journo’s?

Sorry, I expect better. If there is one sure way to get people to open the article then sensationalism is it of course, but on the flip side this is the quickest way to get the article closed without it being read and your credibility shafted.

C’mon report on what you know or comment on what you think. Anything else is just….well… pointless. Start a debate, ask a few pointed questions, seek some opinions, express a point of view – don’t write this crap.

There you’ve been told, now go and write this a thousand times – I will not write sloppy articles again.

*See what I did with the headline there? Had you looking didn’t it (cheap shot I know)

PS I now note that this “story” (I use the term loosely) is now being repeated elsewhere demonstrating that some ‘journo’s’ can’t do anything original, they only puke up other peoples slop (sorry about that if you’re eating your lunch…)

  1. Hahaha LOL "latest versions of Messi / Ronaldo / Bale"
    My opinion they are "Bakkalli / A.Vadilo / L.Shaw"
But I'm not quite sure about Bakkalli.
If not him, who is the new version of Messi?

All these bullshit allegations piss me off. Why would we get rid off the manager who got us the most point's ever in the premier league last season. It makes me laugh cz we are in 6th place with only 15 games played and were only 3 points off second place. We also need to remember that we are in this position with a whole new team of players who the majority of them have never played in the premier league, which in my opinion is the hardest league in the world. All the people that publish these stupid things are just haters cz they can see how tottenham are on there way to being one of Europe's best. F u haters COYS.
