Cool as a Cucumber

So we’ve just had our bottom smacked by Man City again, the last time we let in 5 at home the manager was sacked.

Ok the ref did us no favours at all, with 11 on the pitch we may have kept it down to 3, let’s be honest after 20 minutes the writing was on the wall.

The focus of this piece is Tim and his reaction after the game .Now don’t get me wrong, he comes across as cool as the Fonz sat in a fridge, even after a drubbing he is very matter of fact, most managers would’ve blamed the sending off or the dubious offside decision and would’ve done so very strongly. I actually can’t think of a manager who wouldn’t have got a FA fine after that match. Not Tim though, he said he thought the offside was right, mentioned the red card decision was wrong but very calmly and not screaming cheat at the ref, unlike myself of course. Very well done most would say, the interview actually calmed me down, which after that game took some doing. As I said to the Mrs in my best Only Fools and Horses voice, “find me a little bloke, I want a fight”. Then up pops Tim, very cool, very calm and very collected, was honest in his opinions on how good city were/are, being honest they are playing the best football of any team in any league right now.

My concerns are this constant opinion over the last few days that we are not going to be bringing anyone in during the window. Looking at city, who will no doubt win the league, we are miles behind. We keep hearing how big a squad we have, yes in midfield, the rest is quite thread bare. I have gone on about what I think we need, that’s even boring me now. Is this constant denial, Tim boxing clever, is it Levy boxing clever or is it as I fear Levy not backing Tim, forgetting this season and rebuilding for the 50th time in the summer.

Guys the club is a shambles! We achieved an amazing amount for Bale and spent it without aclear plan. In my opinion we have wasted it as we didnot buy quality -no real gamechanger.
Levy will act tomorrow for dramatics shades of Dempsey and Dembele only this time we will get from Fulham again!Berbatov no thank you!He can hide behind the choices of Sherwood o
Baldini .No new ground ateam that is going backwards and our good players will soon want away Vertongen Lloris etc we wil not win champions league place ogr even europa
Predicted finish behind Liverpool and Man utd and possibly Everton.what a mess from the excitement of the summer

Wow what a couple of downers. The club a shambles? In the words of Victor Meldrew 'I don't believe it' - how is the club a shambles? Please justify a reason to buy or sell right now? Rather than go over it all again please read (or re-read) both parts of 'An article of two Halves' which I hope will get you two looking at this from a perspective of where we really are and not where we think we are. Sorry but it's a reality check but its not all doom and gloom. Now you two go chill. That's an order.

Not to sure the article is a downer, more a bit of praise for how calm sherwood had been in his interview and the calming effect that had, the only negative I read would be transfer policy or the authors perceived transfer policy and no mention of the club being a shambles by the author.im inclined to agree and a lack of 2 signings in key areas especially the left side of defence and cover in attack leaves us with little hope of CL qualification , I would suggest it be you that needs to chill before commenting on something you've not read or have indeed misunderstood
