Hooray for Hugo!

It's been a while since I have any reason to write for e-spurs until I had the pleasure of reading Hugo Lloris's recent spray. Finally a player with pride and fortitude. If ever we wanted a leader we have found one. A man of integrity, foresight and honesty. His dressing down of Spurs season and players has been of the fee highlights of a shambolic season. He has identified precisely what every commoner who follows this club has stated all year long. Where players egos are louder than the screams of 36000 spectators who pay good money each week it's refreshing to see a level headed and honest assessment of a teams performance that at times has bordered on embarrassing. If Tottenham ever wanted a leader who fights from the front of the pack then Lloris is it.

My previous articles have lambasted Levy and Co, players who believe they are above and beyond reproach and that hasn't changed. There's no use regurgitating old stories. There is enough garbage written without me adding to it so I won't. My opinions are my own but I will give credit where it's due. Hugo Lloris may or may not be at the club at the end of the season, and whether he stays or not I will always respect a man who has more integrity than the whole club put together. That article should be printed and plastered throughout the club's walls and in each players locker. Jan Vertonghen, Lamela, Sherwood, Rose (for God sake he's still playing) Sandro, to name a few could do with a kick in the backside. You'd struggle to count on one hand any player who could look in the mirror and say "I've done my club proud this year".

Lastly, Moyes to Tottenham, I'd hand in my supporters badge. The unfortunate fact is it won't be a surprised if Levy goes down this path just for the sake of it. Moyes is damaged goods and will need time away from the game to heal the wounds the vultures have inflicted
on him. If, as we read, Van Gall is off to Manchester United, then lets hope De Boer is given a chance.

Tottenham needs to think long and hard about it's future. It's a club that is rudderless, lacks vision and as Hugo Lloris has stated "spine". Maybe once the egos of the owners and players are alike are subsided then we can build a future.

If Moyes is appointed manager I will cease supporting the club I have been for 35 years.

SURELY WITH SUCH PASSION FROM LLORIS HE SHOULD COMMIT HIMSELF TO STAYING AT SPURS ANOTHER SEASON AN NOT MAYBE USEING IT AS A EXCUSE TO LEAVE.

Lloris funny enough didnt even have a slightest hint of not being there next season. In fact he said Next season WE...its more than the most players we keep hearing talking about in football no one can tell bollocks..

Moyes shouldn't even be considered. . Specially after takingva proper swipe at Spurs for AVB dismissal. Ironically making a comment atbthe time that he called himself fortunate to not to work for a club of Hire and Fire culture. .Serves him right. At the moment he is only good enough to manage Celtic.

Yeah... Bale said something similar about how "WE" would push for Champions League again next season at the end of last season too....and we all know what happened there. The only loyalty you will get from footballers these days, is the loyalty from players who realize they are not good enough to be at the club they play for..... Dawson anyone?

Not sure why you've included Lamela in the list of people that need a kick up the backside. It's hardly his fault he wasn't given a good chance by AVB and then got injured after what I thought was a gritty if not great performance against Southampton. Anyway, I respect Lloris, the guy will still attempt to pull off worldy's and put himself at risk closing down strikers even when every other player acts like the game has gone. Vertonghen on the other hand is a disgrace, wants CL football but wants everyone else to be the ones to work for it...actually let's be honest, he doesn't really care about CL football at all, he just wants more money. If he wanted CL year in year out he could have stayed at Ajax couldn't he.

  7. Moyes is not really the man to inspire hope.........but just imagine .....if he did well at WHL, the effect it would have on the Manure maggots as their team continues to slide down the Premiership with all their creditors banging on the door.

  8. Agree completely Lloris has hit the nail on the head with most of what he says, he's also made a few mistakes but as a goaile 1 mistake can be horrific. But at least he gets on and keeps trying if not for him we would be way down in the negative goal difference.

You also make a GREAT point i've tried it, try actually naming on 1 hand the players that can hold there head up and say I've done ok. LLoris, Adebayor, Kane, Eriksen. Maybe townsend for a first proper season but no real end product just a bit of excitement.

IMO our biggest problem isn't who to bring in it's who to keep, we need to get rid of at least 10 players(5 midfield) so we can have a settled team this before bringing anyone new in. I cant remember playing the same 11 in a row once and that isn't good for the players or for form. Look at liverpool they have a much smaller squad but use youth when needed and play the same players every week making them used to each other.

As for the manager situation so many unrealistic targets being banded about we gotta remember Man U and Barca up for grabs anyone not at a champions league club whos won stuff and experienced will be going to them clubs before spurs.

Lloris is off no matter what he says. I think we need to sell just a few and not buy more than 3. We have a talented team, this season was always gonna be hard. Keep the faith lads, next season we're gonna be hot....
