It has been announced overnight that Tottenham will be reunited with former Premier League stalwarts Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in Denver, Colorado against the MLS All-Stars.

Media members nominated a total of eight players from each club to create the original league ballot for the Fan XI. Then fans voted through online balloting and via social media, with the 10 players with the highest combined vote total earning a spot on the Fan XI.

Spurs cross the Atlantic for the game at the end of July and will also face a few other household names when the teams take to the field after the Fan XI were revealed on Monday. World Cup winners Kaka of Orlando City SC and David Villa, now at New York City, have both been selected in the first group of players announced by the MLS.

The reunions continue with former Spurs striker Clint Dempsey set to face his former club, having spent the 2012-13 season at White Hart Lane, scoring seven goals.
