Today's News

Poch to get Spurs pitch perfect

It appears that Poch is planning ahead with respect to our forthcoming tenancy at Wembley. Various sources have reported that the Tottenham gaffer is considering having a Wembley-style pitch installed at the club's Enfield training base.

Baring in mind the size of the national stadium pitch, plus the poor results obtained by the Woolwich during a similar stay in 1998, this may not be as crazy an idea as it sounds.

Loyal Lineker

It also seems that old loyalties die hard with respect to one former Spurs striker. As the news broke last night of an over inflated bid for a 29 year old with one good season behind him, Lineker left his followers in no doubt of his thoughts on the move and his thoughts on the Woolwich. Good on ya Garry!

Barcelona are rivalling Tottenham for Samuel Umtiti - London Evening Standard

It was confirmed today that Barca have made an approach for reported Tottenham target Samuel Umtiti. The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive season in Ligue 1, making 30 appearances, as the club finished second behind champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed he was monitoring both Umtiti and Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi in April, but the defender's performances have also attracted interest from Catalunya.

Tottenham pursuing 18 year old PSG attacker Wilfried Kanga - France Football

Tottenham are also interested in Jonathan Ikone, who has yet to decide between signing a professional contract with PSG or accepting a three year deal with Juventus.

Spurs get fresh hope over Wanyama - Various

Tottenham have reportedly been given fresh hope that they can finally prise long-term target Victor Wanyama away from Southampton this summer. According to reports last summer Pochettino failed to land the Kenya international 12 months ago, despite the player making it clear he wanted the move.

However, it seems we have maintained our interest and will hope to finally secure his services in the upcoming transfer window - exploiting Southampton's current managerial uncertainty.
