The disappointment of Tottenham’s midweek Champions League defeat by Monaco at Wembley cut deep, with Mauricio Pochettino particularly upset at what he saw as a lack of intensity and decisiveness.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Sunderland - White Hart Lane

It's been a less than pretty week for both clubs. Wembley woe for Spurs dampened our Champions League dreams. Playing there will also inspire the opposition, as it did when the Woolwich tried the same experiment.

Sunderland's home hammering by Everton rang alarm bells. They were unlucky to lose at Manchester City on the opening weekend. Since then they've been poor.

If Tottenham repeat their Stoke form, we should make it 14 home Premier League wins in 16 against the Black Cats.
