Ben Arfa to Spurs?

By Florian d'Olesnitz

With the transfer window looming large, speculation has increased around a number of players and managers. With a number of players in mind of who I would like Spurs to splash out the cash for, it was a little surprising to see Hatem Ben Arfa appearing on the most recent transfer rumour mill.

The French midfielder has been sidelined for much of this season due to a number of injuries, only playing 16 games so far. In those games he has still achieved 3 goals and 3 assists. Ben Arfa, who originally played for the likes of Lyon and Marseille, is mainly known for his strength and pace on the ball which was evident in his goal of the season contender during last years campaign against Bolton, where he picked the ball up in the middle of his half, turned one player and sprinted straight down the middle past 3 other players to calmly lay the ball into the back of the net, similar to Bales goal against Norwich this season.

Having not started as many games as he would have liked and with Newcastle in a lot of trouble, Ben Arfa may be looking for a move with Spurs looking an ideal place for him, with fellow Frenchmen Lloris and Kaboul to welcome him in.

Transfer Possibility: 6/10

Why would he want to play for you useless trophy barren northern wankers fighting off relegation. You might have a bigger stadium( for now) but your a smaller club forever in Sunderlands shadow. LOL at pardew the messiah. Even tiote was pictured in a Sunderland coloured thong last summer....says it all really.

  2. Haha. Little club. We have won more since you last won a cup. Than you have ever won in you're history. The fact you have a half decent following, is because there are only two teams to choose from

Lol @ Spurs fans and their comments. We might be playing shite now and heading down but atleast we aren't a one-man team! Bale will fook off next season and you lot will be subdued to being another mid-table team.

It'll be funny to see your faces when your lot lose out to a Champion's League place, for the second time in a row, come the end of this season?

Thing is he loves it at Newcastle and has only just come out and says he will be staying for the long term, spurs might have won more in recent times but some of you need to wind your necks in, NUFC have one of the best followings in the league and the passion you see from the fans is unlike anywhere else I have ever been whilst they are not doing well this term I don't believe they will be in the same position next year and be back in their rightful position fighting for a Europa league or Champions league position.
It will be interesting to see if AVB can still get your team playing well by the end of next season, so far you've been dropping off in the last few games once he starts buying his own team I can only see that getting worse, and before anyone pipes up all the players that have been brought in was already in the pipeline under Arry and not AVB It could be interesting

All these shirtless fat Geordies giving it large. One half decent season and they tie a shit manager up in a 7 year deal. Haha. Even wet spam didn't want him. No wonder your players want out. You have some decent players, they don't deserve a relegation battle every season. Carroll gone, Ba gone now you struggle and you call us a one man team. We may be a one man team but we could sell him and buy your whole squad. I'm sure your spurs loving owner would do that for the team he loves. By the way, Ben arfa would love to play in front if 'ickle' 36000 fans. He will be playing to alot less next season in the championship. Now run along kiddies. At least Sunderland gives your area some decent football headlines. Twats. Scottish wannabes, the lot of ya.
