We are getting news tonight that a big deal has been completed between Baldini and Valencia for the transfer of Soldado and may be bigger than most people think. More as we get it.....
come on you mighty whites this is what we have been waiting for , a proven scorer to grace the beautiful shirt of spurs .if this is true and we have our man then getting baldini to the lane and avb wow just what the fans wanted .
refuse to believe it until its announced on the Spurs official website. Been burned too many times before. I true though , will dance the funky chicken naked in the street with some of those stick-on googly eyes arranged above my c**k
On a scale of 1-10, how reliable is this information? It seems that if one section of the media report or make up a story, the rest follow and then we have the snow ball effect. I hope it is true though. I've said for season's now that all we need is a 1 in 2 striker. Fingers crossed that this isn't a Daily Star story.
So Important to not just get a striker but one that is world class and can join up with pre season ready to in a couple of weeks, soldado in, add out and one more in and we are good to go. Leighton Barnes would finish the summer spending off beautifully COYS
They sent Baldini out for a reason. It could be possible, but on a day's notice, a bit hard to believe. Wouldn't put faith if it doesn't go official...
Fingers crossed, please please please be true. Come on you mighty spurs. After so many many years, this squad is finally taking shape, on all key area's. COYS..
Well I hope it's true because our striker options are running out. I would have preferred Benteke since I believe he will become one of the very top strikers in the Premiership and offers more options than Soldado who's more of a goal poacher. Nevertheless, I'll take him. Just heard that Adebayor's brother has died which transcends football and maybe will halt the vitriol directed at him for a while.
how reliable, genuine is this site? Any track record I wanna believe it but this doesnt stack up as a usual Spurs player purchase. AVB said today we were in the market so who knows
sounds like a benteke situation again!!! we will be stuck with adebyor and detoe as our main strike force either way he got to prove himself in the prem if its true our time flirtin with top 4 clubs is gonna come to an end soon our poxy owner aint got the bottle or the metal to take us further after this benteke fiasco tappin him up then cant afford him makes me know how small our club is p.s bales gone to man utd and avb gone to barca and well always be in arsenals shadows accept it..................*giggles*
If only, would love to believe this, but that would mean the transfer would have gone through quickly and without drama. thats simply not the Spurs way
Pictures posted on Twitter apparently showing Baldini entering Valencia HQ to do the deal...morsel of truth to this story?
Contrary to popular opinion, I think even Levy realises he has to spend big and maybe even a bit recklessly to get Champions' League. Whatever it takes to ensure the big CL payouts to fund the new Stadium. Paulinho, Chadli, Soldado...is this what optimism feels like??? COYS
what do u mean by 'may be bigger than most people think' is that the transfer fee or is it possible were signing the left back also cissoko since we need one aswell
Like most of the stories we read, we get very excited then are deeply disappointed when nothing happens or the player is tempted by another club or decides to stay for a greater pay-day. Let's hope it's true but I will only believe once there is an official announcement.
my oppinion is that levy would cough up £25million on Roberto Soldado coz he's finally relised that us spurs fans have been crying out for a world class striker of soldado's quality for the past 3 seasons.
no news on Chadli medical and completion, a bit weird isn't it when the OS said he would travel to HK after it was done... The lad has had injury problems in the past
Sources say the offer is in the region of 22.5 million with add ons ,their board will meet tomorrow to discuss the offer , don't blame me just passing info on
9:17pm! There is a picture at the bottom of the page with Chadli wearing the new blue Spurs Polo shirt on http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/spurs-sporting-director-franco-baldini-arrives-in-valencia-for-talks-over-roberto-soldado-cadena-ser/?
Fair play to this site if they are right. Reminds me of when thespursweb broke the Berbatov deal from an airport sighting. As for interest from Liverpool, I think once a fee is agreed so much then depends on where the player wants to go. If Soldado wants to come to us then there wont be too much problem. If he prefers Liverpool then theres not much we could do anyway. I think with Liverpool not actually having sold Suarez yet (or perhaps not even wanting to), our quick movement this time may actually bear fruit. It's a gamble but the right one for me. If we make CL he pays for himself. If we don't Bale will leave and we still have a top striker in his prime and plenty left to replace Bale (not that we'll need to sell him!). This deal is absolutely key to our future.
From what I have been told the fee will be in the region of £23m. That fee will not be up front but over 12 months and will increase if 1) he scores 20+ goals and 2) If we achieve CL qualifications. Its almost done but Valencia are trying for more upfront.
What a scoop, but all this poop is making me droop. Top strikers are evaporating fast, we need to act quickly and decisively. Soldado is not the best we might have got for £25m or near but we have little choice but to go for it. A word on Benteke: I don't know all the ins and outs but I resent the way he tried to force Spurs into action. Talk about the tail wagging the dog, the guy hands in a transfer request then shouts down to London, "Hey guys come and get me. You've only got a few days though and you'll need to smash your transfer record. No problem really." He may or may not turn out to be a top striker in the EPL, but he is certainly out of order to try to push Tottenham around. I am happy with our two signings so far (assuming Chadli is in) but I will be a lot happier when we have a top striker on board. COYS!
I can imagine a very strong line up if this is true. With the flexibility of a 4 2 3 1 or a 4 3 3 formation for AVB to tinker with. A very probable side could be something like: LLoris Walker Kaboul Vert BAE Sandro Paulinho Lennon Bale Chadli Soldado
Such depth on subs: Dawson, Sig, Dempsey, Holtby, Townsend, Defoe, Adebayor, Huddlestone, Parker, Rose, Caulker, Carroll.
The starting 11 has goals all over the park. I do expect Townsend to have the biggest impact this year from the bench even to a starting position. Probably even forgotten somebody but things are looking up.
Shifting the shite from the clay; this cannot be assumed a done deal. Let's just hope that this or something like it happens in good time for the sake of the pre-season. Some potty training required around WHL judging by comments here.
adebayor may have been in the team last season, but played like he wanted to be anywhere other than whl.worst signing ever.maybe not just remembered that useless get that came from Blackburn.fan since 1957 get rid of him cant kick a ball without falling on his arse.pay another team to take him.
keep bale and avb and FINALLY have the spurs team we've always wanted..... I'm fed up of seeing spurs nearly getting there only for Man U, Real Madrid buying our best players and waiting 2 seasons to rebuild.
Looking forward to watching Spurs win all the big away games next season. I'd be happy to see Adebayor fight for his place next seaon and show us what he's made of as he'll have some good competition.
I would (controversially) prefer to sell Walker (for £20m+ ie. to Cheatski) and use the funds to buy Aldeweireld from Ajax plus £7m+ left over) and partner him with Jan in the middle, moving Kaboom to right-back (but that's for another blog discussion...).
I hope to God this isn't true but if we're buying Chadli, Soldado and Lopez, does that mean Bale *MIGHT* be sold. After all, we'd have Chadli/Lennon, Soldado and Lopez to pick in a 3-man attack...just saying ??
I think this may be a panic buy. I don't usually believe all the hype surrounding spurs transfers, but this Bale to Madrid now seems to have some legs. I've got a horrible feeling he is going, and Soldado will be bought in to soften the blow a little.
Maybe a little off topic (I don't really thinks so)...But can someone (in a simple way) explain the new supposed Fair Play rules. The prices quoted for players is astronomical. I still can't believe these numbers. How can the people of Spain like what's happening when they are struggling and Barca pay 49M for Neymar and Real want to pay upwards of 85M for GB. What the hell is happening. Soon there will only 4 teams in each competition and eventually one global competition.
Please let this be true.
ReplyDeletecome on you mighty whites this is what we have been waiting for , a proven scorer to grace the beautiful shirt of spurs .if this is true and we have our man then getting baldini to the lane and avb wow just what the fans wanted .

ReplyDeletePlease don't be more BS, want to believe it and would help convince GB to stay, won't believe it until it's on the Spurs Website though, sorry lol
ReplyDeletecant see levy paying 20-25mill on a 28year old with no sell on value
ReplyDeleteoh my god im getting a semi!!!!

ReplyDeleteJoho this is The man.
ReplyDeletecan't get excited, even if true! he is not that good!

ReplyDeleteLeave that to the gooners.

I agree with the above comment about the Harry Hotspur site. He's about as funny as Jimmy Tarbuck with his rhetorical shite. I'm blocking it too.
ReplyDeletesounds like a benteke situation again!!!

DeleteSad news about Ade's brother if it is true. He's our player and part of our club.
ReplyDeleteIf only, would love to believe this, but that would mean the transfer would have gone through quickly and without drama. thats simply not the Spurs way
ReplyDeletei dont believe a word of this until i see it with my own eyes....i certainly hope so.....coys!
ReplyDeleteShit the bed! I hope this is true, would be a great signing
ReplyDeleteIf this is true it's massive.....possible title contenders knda massive!
ReplyDeletePictures posted on Twitter apparently showing Baldini entering Valencia HQ to do the deal...morsel of truth to this story?

I sure hope so!
DeleteCoys!
Does anyone know why Bale isn't in Hong Kong with the rest of the squad?
ReplyDeleteDunno, he didn't pay in the last friendly either? ? Levy got some splainin to doo
DeleteHe is...was on sky sports news earlier
DeleteWatch their video on youtube. You will see Gareth with the rest of the group
DeleteHe's injured apparently
Deleteeven if its a load of ,,,,,, it feels good :)
ReplyDeleteproven goalscorer, prolific, not injury-prone & loyal. Bring home the bacon Baldini!
ReplyDeleteBale is there, check the video on the offical website he can be seen signing some pictures
ReplyDeleteOh really.... youve seen baldini in a car on twitter....and now your in the know! Pathetic.
ReplyDelete@8:52 - he is in hong kong with the squad .. watch the spurs clip on sky sport news were avb is interviewed and they cut to bale
ReplyDeletewhat do u mean by 'may be bigger than most people think' is that the transfer fee or is it possible were signing the left back also cissoko since we need one aswell

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info(8:58pm). I will check the video. I've seen lots of the squad pictures out there today but, none with Bale in them. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteLike most of the stories we read, we get very excited then are deeply disappointed when nothing happens or the player is tempted by another club or decides to stay for a greater pay-day.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it's true but I will only believe once there is an official announcement.
we shall see it would be a good signing and would really make a statement of intent so i hope your right
ReplyDeleteSee'in is believing and im not sure hes that good
ReplyDeletemy oppinion is that levy would cough up £25million on Roberto Soldado coz he's finally relised that us spurs fans have been crying out for a world class striker of soldado's quality for the past 3 seasons.
ReplyDeleteRoberto Soldado is the top Quality striker that we've been looking for.
ReplyDeleteno news on Chadli medical and completion, a bit weird isn't it when the OS said he would travel to HK after it was done...
ReplyDeleteThe lad has had injury problems in the past
Would be a good signing but if we want CL we'll need more firepower and a decent left back.
ReplyDeleteWhy arent we shedding some dead weights and using the money to buy more quality?
COYS

Around 25 mil for a 28 year old? Does not sound like a DL special to me, but if we get him then I´ll be happy. COYS
ReplyDeleteSoldado to Spurs odds just went from 11/4 to 1/4 on Skybet
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited I just done a poo in my cats litter box
ReplyDelete... and then ate it! lol
DeleteDone deal with Cissoko on loan Coys
ReplyDeleteSorry, it was 4/11 to 1/4 odds.

ReplyDeleteTurns out that pooping in my cats litter box has backfired as he now sees me as a threat and has started trying to defend his territory.
ReplyDeleteAll I wanted to do was treat myself and celebrate but now I've got a turf war on my hands!
Don't think it has happened yet. Graham hunter's tweets are always good. COYS
ReplyDeletePlease keep up updated, Steven.

ReplyDeleteKnew I forgot someone. Re above, please replace Dembele for Chadli. Chadli on the bench or change with Lennon. Gets even better.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe it! Heard from a very good source that's close to Levy that we're 'miles off of doing a deal!' I hope that's changed!
ReplyDeleteFeels like Christmas morning, will Santa be emptying his Soldado shaped sack of gooey googness all over us......oh god.....
ReplyDeleteadebayor may have been in the team last season, but played like he wanted to be anywhere other than whl.worst signing ever.maybe not just remembered that useless get that came from Blackburn.fan since 1957 get rid of him cant kick a ball without falling on his arse.pay another team to take him.

Most likely:
Lloris
Walker - Kaboul - Verts - BAE
Paulinho - Sandro - Dembele
Bale - Soldado - Chadli
My preference:
Lloris
Kaboul - Aldeweireld - Verts - BAE/Rose
Sandro
Bale - Paulinho - Dembele - Chadli
Soldado/Lopez
Look at this - Very interesting. Lisandro Lopez on Wiki already has Tottenham down as his next club and it was done in May ! link below
