Ranking of all Tottenham matches 2015/16

As the dust settles on one of the most exciting seasons in decades, we take a look back and rank every one of our games from the past season from 53rd to 1st. Let us know if you agree in the comments section below!

53. Newcastle 5-1 Tottenham: St. Totterignham’s Day came late and undid quite a bit of the good feeling around White Hart Lane as the 10 men of Newcastle scored thrice in the last 20 minutes.

52. Tottenham 1-2 Newcastle: A painful reminder of what it is like to be a Spurs supporter. 1-0 up and dominating at home against a team in the bottom three, surely there is nothing to worry about? Well Spurs spursed it up and Newcastle came roaring back to take all three points back to the North East for the third year in a row.

51. Tottenham 0-1 Leicester: An absolute sucker punch to the gut this one was. Outplaying Leicester for 85 minutes before Toby and Eric marked each other instead of Robert Huth and three points went to the East Midlands.

50. West Ham 1-0 Tottenham: The final trip to E13 for Tottenham on a March Wednesday night at a ground that has seen both happy (Staltieri, Bale and Dier) and sad (lasagna) in recent memory. Spurs had the opportunity to go top of the league here but it was to be West Ham’s night in their cup final.

49. Borussia Dortmund 3-0 Tottenham: Pochettino sacrificed the Europa League and Spurs were hopefully outclasses by a rampant Dortmund.

48. Tottenham 1-2 Southampton: A bad performance in the last game at a full capacity WHL set up for the final day collapse on Tyneside.

47. Tottenham 1-1 West Brom: Another Spursy one this. Poor marking from a corner meant that the title hopes were all but extinguished.

46. Tottenham 2-2 Stoke: “2-0 and you f*cked it up.” 2 goals conceded in the last 15 minutes meant Spurs had to settle for a point in their first home game.

45. Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham: 2-0 up at halftime and surely the end of 26 painful years of going to SW6. Not quite, Chelsea roared back, ending our title hopes and in the process we lost our temper and respect from the media.

44. Tottenham 0-1 Crystal Palace: Adebayor returned, Pardew talked some smack and Spurs’ dreams of Wembley were extinguished.

43. Tottenham 1-2 Woolwich Arsenal: “We ended Tottenham’s season” said one on ArsenalFanTV. Not entirely accurate as their reserves were better than ours as Flamini of all people struck twice before the travelling Gooners defaced our stadium.

42. Anderlecht 2-1 Tottenham: 1-0 up to 2-1 down in this Europa League GS match in Brussels.

41. Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham: Spurs played well here but a Kyle Walker own goal condemned Spurs to their first loss of the season while we all still expected a 5th/6th place finish and the faintest hopes of top 4.

40. Monaco 1-1 Tottenham: A bore 1-1 in the principality, Lamela the scorer.

39. Tottenham 0-0 Everton: A 3rd consecutive draw left Spurs fans extremely frustrated with the lack of a second strike option.

38. West Brom 1-1 Tottenham: A traditional 3 PM kickoff in the West Midlands on a dark December day led to a boring 1-1 draw with Delle Alli netting after a “Toby ball.”

37. Leicester 1-1 Tottenham: 1-0 up on 83 minutes through Delle Alli’s first EPL goal to relegation favorites but Spurs spurs’d it up.

36. Tottenham 1-2 Borussia Dortmund: This tie was over in the first leg.

35. Tottenham 0-0 Liverpool: Klopp’s heavy metal style got its first test at White Hart Lane but there was nothing much here.

34. Fiorentina 1-1 Tottenham: With memories of Roberto Soldado still fresh in the mind, Spurs escaped Tuscany with a draw and an away goal.

33. Qarabag 0-1 Tottenham: The longest trip ever netted 3 points through Harry Kane and a spot in the last 32.

32. Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea: Mourinho came, Mourinho parked the bus and Mourinho got his trademark 0-0. The opposite of the reverse fixture, possibly the most boring match I’ve ever watched.

31. Everton 1-1 Tottenham: Spurs dominated and were unlucky not to take 3 points.

30. Tottenham 4-1 Monaco: This dead rubber on match day 6 led to a first half hat trick from Lamela and a first Spurs goal for Tom Carroll.

29. Swansea 2-2 Tottenham: 2 moments of magic from Eriksen free kicks gave us a point in South Wales. Harry Kane netted for Swansea.

28. Tottenham 3-1 Qarabag: Here comes the Son, his 2 goals in 3 minutes gave us a 3-1 victory at a very sparsely populated WHL.

27. Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham: A nice Kane goal gave us our second 1-1 draw of the season on Merseyside.

26. Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal: Spurs should have won this but conceded to 10 man Arsenal and walked away with only 1 point, how Spursy.

25. Colchester 1-4 Tottenham: A proper cup tie this one, pretty straightforward.

24. Tottenham 3-1 Aston Villa: This was supposed to be Tim Sherwood’s return to his old stomping grounds but he was fired in the week before the match and Spurs cruised to a 3-1 win.

23. Aston Villa 0-2 Tottenham: 2 Kane goals against a woeful Villa kept us in the title race.

22. Tottenham 3-0 Norwich: An easy Boxing Day win over another poor side.

21. Tottenham 2-2 Leicester: A pulsating cup tie between two mixed sides with a Harry Kane penalty forcing a replay.

20. Tottenham 3-0 Fiorentina: Memories of last year extinguished as Spurs outclassed their Italian opposition.

19. Woolwich Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham: You know your Spurs are good when they are disappointed with a draw against Woolwich Wanderers. But that’s what happened here as Spurs conceded yet another equalizer after 70 minutes.

18. Tottenham 3-0 AFC Bournemouth: Kane scored 44 seconds in and everything after that was a formality.

17. AFC Bournemouth 1-5 Tottenham: We went behind in the first minute but Artur Boruc was on some bad drugs that day and we cruised to victory on the South Coast.

16. Norwich 0-3 Tottenham: A quick goal from Delle ALli meant an easy 3 points in East Anglia as Spurs jumped Arsenal into 3rd.

15. Tottenham 1-0 Watford: Watford put 10 men behind the ball but Keiran Trippier broke the deadlock and moved into 2nd place.

14. Sunderland 0-1 Tottenham: A late Ryan Mason winner meant our first victory of the season on Wearside.

13. Tottenham 4-1 Sunderland: Big Sam did what he does best, sitting back and taking a lead through a counter attack. But Spurs were ruthless, putting four past debutant Pickford en route to a 4-1 win.

12. Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace: A late Sonny winner was our first home win of the season.

11. Southampton 0-2 Tottenham: Southampton played up some rivalry with spurs because of Poch and Toby but 2 goals in 3 first half minutes meant safe passage on the South Coast.

10. Tottenham 2-1 Anderlecht: 2 class goals including an 88th minute Dembele winner put us in the driving seat of our Europa League group.

9. Leicester 0-2 Tottenham: 4th times the charm as we finally cracked the Leicester nut and booked our place in the hat for Round 4.

8. Tottenham 2-1 Swansea: A come from behind win which gave Spurs hope that this season might just be different from the others.

7. Stoke 0-4 Tottenham: The best Tottenham performance I’ve ever seen. Could have been 7 or 8 and convinced our fans that we were going to run the table the rest of the way.

6. Crystal Palace 1-3 Tottenham: A class Nacer Chadli goal from 25 yards out in the 95th minute secured 3 points for Spurs after they had fallen behind at Selhurst Park. Apparently Delle Alli played in that game as well?

5. Watford 1-2 Tottenham: A great winner from Son after Watford thought they had won sparked massive celebrations in the away end at Vicarage Road.

4. Tottenham 4-1 West Ham: Played a Payet-less West Ham off the park and had me thinking I was watching Real Madrid. Even Lanzini’s 87th minute consolation couldn’t damper my inflated ego that had me thinking Spurs had a chance to win the league (we took 2 points from our next 3).

3. Tottenham 4-1 Manchester City: Manchester City went a goal ahead but we replied with 4 at a time in our first massive result of the season.

2. Tottenham 3-0 Manchester United: The United coach arrived late, kick-off was delayed but Spurs scored 3 goals in six second half minutes to secure our first win over United at WHL since 2001.

1. Manchester City 1-2 Tottenham: We’d lost 4-1 and 6-0 there recently and hadn’t won there since Crouch scored that goal. But an Eriksen winner led our fans to dare to dream.
