Window Roundup

Now that the madness of the transfer widow has calmed down along with the endless speculation and gossip, we will now publish the stories that DID happen. We decided not to get involve in the gossip as it would have meant about 300 extra posts for you to scroll through and we would rather stick to the facts. So, here's what happened....

During the transfer window, Spurs announced a partnership with Brazilian team Internacionale. We already have partnerships with Supersport of South Africa and the San Hose Earthquakes of the USA. This is thought to of happened at the same time as Spurs were negotiating to but their midfielder and Brazilian under-20 Captain Sandro. There may be more to come on that one!

Jamie o'hara has joined Portsmouth on loan and we have also sold Kevin Prince Boateng to the same club. The o'hara deal is thought to be the reason the we managed to get £4million for KPB, a player who rarely featured at WHL.

Spurs have been drawn to face Preston in the third round of the Carling Cup. The match will take place at Deepdale on Wednesday 23rd September.

It has been reported that Spurs are in discussions with winger Jankulovski. More as it comes on this one! This was just one of numerous links during the last few days of the transfer window which failed to materialise including:

Van Der Vart
Ronaldo
Muntari swap for Jenas
Chavez on a free
David James
Petrov swap for Bentley

However, we did loan tiny forward Gio Dos Santos to Ipswich and sold Pascale Chimbonda to Blackburn.

Finally, saving the best till last, Spurs pulled off the biggest deal of deadline day in signing Nico kranjar from Portsmouth for a reported fee of £2m. If the reported fee is correct, this represents a great bit of business and another player who will add great quality to our team. I remember seeing him at the Lane playing for Pompey a few years back and thought he was the best player on the pitch!
