Spurs seek winds of change

Winds of change whisper through the air at White Hart Lane as the last grains of sand trickle down Sherwood’s hourglass of shame with the season drawing to a close.

Sherwood has consistently reminded Spurs fans that the club was lucky to be doing so well and subsequently miles off competing for Champion’s League football.

His recent uninspiring comments, alongside dismal performances against top opposition, have formed a cloud of uncertainty and insecurity for Spurs’ future.

With half a season under his belt as Spurs manager and a combined ten years at Spurs Sherwood said he “could not tell you the best 11 players at Tottenham”.

The animated coach does not seem to hold the summer recruits in high regard, benching a recognised international, Capoue for youngster, Bentaleb.

He said he “knows who he can trust” which gave Capoue with a vote of no confidence and left another well paid withering away on the Spurs bench.

However, the argument can be made that Spurs have finally unearthed a gem in their youth squad and this is largely due to Sherwoods legendary “trust” in certain players.

Abdebayor’s resurgence is also heavily because Sherwood brought the Togolese out of the blue and straight into the first team to replace another overpriced player in the form of Roberto Soldado.

Soldado has been a bitter disappointment to the Spurs faithful to say the least and many fans would like to see the back of him, despite what would be a substantial loss in business.

The truth is, without going into detail about other failures like Chadli, Lamela and others, the finger should be the pointed at the one who is definitively behind all this misspending of funds.

Blunderous Baldini

Franco Blunderini’s foreign forays, scouring the scouting pool labelled ‘Premier League Players Get Out!’, has crippled Spurs to the point of sinking ship syndrome.

Many claim that it is his fault Spurs’ season has fallen into obscurity and lacking any real challenge to the Premier League’s hierarchy.

The Italian was tasked to secure top talent for Tottenham with the robust transfer kitty handed to the club following Gareth Bale’s sale to Real Madrid.

However, none of the players have lived up to the expected standard required for progression and others have seen the axe for it.

Now it will surely be Sherwood who will be set for the familiar guillotine scene where splashes of blood still linger from the previous recent managers.

Who Next? (I Know He's Still Here)

His recent comment referring to his performance this season “I've done alright, you know. It's been hard” would not have done much to inspire fans who have seen their team suffer blow after crushing blow against their rivals.

This will surely signal the end of Sherwood’s reign at White Hart Lane so who will Spurs go for as their next manager?

So will David - the unchosen one - Moysey his way down to the Lane? Will Van Gaal the tyrannical tactician resist the temptations of the Red Devils or has Hoddle seen it in the stars to return, once again, as the prodigal son of the Yidd Army?

COYS!

Was this written by a 12 year old? Blunderous Baldini? Chadli and Lamela "failures"? Weve had a terrible season and still have a chance of equalling a record points haul in the premier league with a promising young squad and a terrible coach at the wheel...Baldini hasn't done that badly, chadli has shown signs of brilliance and lamella has been injured and barely played. Give it a chance ffs...
