Article by Chris Duncan @coach_chris83

In all the years that I have supported Spurs we have never been in with a genuine shout of winning the league championship. The question on everyone's lips is, can we do it? Can we win the trophy that has not sat in the White Hart Lane trophy cabinet since 1961? The answer is: Yes we can. In order for this to happen though, we need Leicester City to drop points, which is out of our control. What we do have control over though is our remaining four league matches. Win them and we have done everything we possibly can..

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion - Monday 25th April 2016

As has been the theme in recent weeks, we will take to the field against West Brom already knowing Leicester's result. In my opinion this does not change a thing as we have to take maximum points from our remaining games to have a chance of winning the league.

West Brom are in poor form at the moment having lost their last three league matches. Although not mathematically safe, the chances of West Brom being relegated are very slim.

For obvious reasons Saido Berahino will be one West Brom player to watch. Much was made of his desire to join us last summer, and I can imagine he'll be fired up to show Pochettino that he is worth pursuing again this summer. That said, Berahino had two penalties saved in recent defeat at home to Watford and has not been at his best all season. Two other players who could cause us problems are top scorer Salomón Rondón and Stéphane Sessègnon.

Having watched West Brom against Arsenal, it would appear The Baggies players are already on their holidays. I cannot see West Brom causing us many problems at The Lane and am predicting a comfortable 3-0 win for Spurs.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur - Monday 2nd May 2016

Our third Monday night match on the bounce sees us make the short trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea. As everyone knows, Chelsea's defence of their Premiership crown has been laughable, as was their parking the bus tactics at White Hart Lane earlier in the season. The fact remains though that we have never beaten Chelsea on their own patch in the Premier League era.

Chelsea have only won one of their last three league games, losing the other two. On their last outing they were outplayed by Manchester City, who came away from Stamford Bridge with all three points following a 3-0 victory.

Three Chelsea players to watch out for are Pedro, Diego Costa and ex-Gooner Cesc Fabregas.

Since taking over from Mourinho, interim coach Guus Hiddink has played a more expansive brand of football, and has recently given Chelsea's youngsters a chance in the first team.

We head to Stamford Bridge with a genuine chance of winning our first Premier League match there. Despite their poor season, Chelsea's team is filled with world class players, who on their day can be a match for any opponent. Although I expect us to win the match, Chelsea are going to do everything in their power to help Leicester City by taking points off us. I'm going for a hard fought 1-0 victory for Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton - Sunday 8th May 2016

Our final home fixture of the season sees us take on Mauricio Pochettino's former club Southampton. The Saints, who at the time of writing sit eighth in the table, have won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three games.

The three Southampton players I have picked out to watch are all attackers with a proven track record of finding the back of the net. We will have to be at our best defensively to keep their top scorer Graziano Pellé, who scored twice against us at St. Mary's last season, at bay, while both Sadio Mané and Shane Long have been amongst the goals recently.

Southampton supporters will be desperate for their team to claim victory over Mauricio Pochettino and put a dent in our title hopes. The reverse fixture at St, Mary's was a close run thing until quick goals from Harry Kane and Dele Alli secured us a 2-0 victory.

With a genuine chance of finishing in the top six and qualifying for The Europa League, Southampton will provide a stern test. The Saints have been relatively solid in recent weeks and will be hard to break down. Being at home, we will be expected to take the game to Southampton, which could leave us susceptible to the counter attack. That said, I think we are in the zone and will win the game comfortably 2-0.

Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 15th May 2016

Our final fixture away to Newcastle United is probably the toughest of our four remaining matches, as they have their Premier League status to play for. Since losing 3-1 away to Southampton, Newcastle have picked up some form, beating Swansea City and drawing 1-1 at home against Manchester City.

Despite being a Spurs fan, Andros Townsend will be wanting to prove to Mauricio Pochettino that he should have kept him at White Hart Lane. Townsend has been in decent form for Newcastle recently, scoring two goals in his last three appearances. Giorginio Wijnaldum, who in my opinion has been Newcastle's best player this season, is another one to watch, as is midfield powerhouse Moussa Sissoko.

Newcastle United's St James' Park is probably one of the toughest stadiums go have to visit on the final day of the season, especially if The Toon need something from the game. Having snatched victory at the death at White Hart Lane in December, Newcastle have the chance to become the only club to do the double over us this season. I personally hope that Newcastle are either mathematically safe or already relegated by the time we face them, as a packed St James' in full voice can be very intimidating. As I have mentioned already, this is the toughest of our remaining games, and the only one I can potentially see us dropping points. Although I do not see us losing this game, I cannot see us winning it either if Newcastle have something to play for. If they do I can see the game ending in an entertaining 1-1 draw. Should Newcastle not have anything to play for though, I can see us claiming a 1-0 win.

I know that with my predictions some people will think my heart is ruling my head, and perhaps they are right. That said, with the way we have been playing recently, I cannot see us dropping points. The players and coaching staff, as well as us supporters, know that Leicester City still hold all the aces, despite Jamie Vardy's upcoming suspension. The reality is that we could win all of our remaining games and still finish second. With that fact in mind I am trying not to think too much about winning title and focusing more on us winning our remaining fixtures. Do that and we have done all that we possibly can. Will it end in a league championship? I do not know. What I do know however, is that this season has been our best ever since the formation of the Premier League. This is not a one off or a flash in the pan, this is the start of something special. Let's embrace it, appreciate what our players and coaching staff have done for us this season, and each and every one of us get behind the team for the final push! Come on you Spurs!!!!!
