Things we learned from Spurs 3-2 West Ham

Article by Lovepreet Deol

1: Harry Kane - The man for the big occasion.

Harry Kane, yet again. Two vital goals for us to give us all three points in the London Derby and to break the souls of the West Ham supporters. That's now 4 goals in 4 games vs West Ham. He just loves scoring in the London derbies! He was surprisingly quiet in the game but produced when it mattered the most. Judging by his celebration, he doesn't really seem like he want's to leave the club, does he? (The Sun, take note)

2: Game changers from the bench.

We are blessed to have such a big squad, even if it is struggling with injuries. When we have a fully fit squad, we have some true world class talent that can come off the bench and produce, and that is what occurred today. Heung Min Son really did change the game. After a fantastic start to the season, his form slightly died out, but today he was terrific coming off the bench. Winning the penalty and more or less assisting the second Spurs goal, he was a huge threat, and a threat West Ham could not cope with.

3: Harry Winks - Gem.

It is typical of Mauricio Pochettino to trust in the youth. He's done so countless times with Danny Rose, Harry Kane, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentelab and now with Harry Winks. But this lad seems just the tad bit special. He's a box to box midfielder with great energy and really has a eye for a goal or an eye for a pass. Took his goal well, even if he was a bit lucky. He seems like a Ryan Mason sought of player, but just a bit better. A really good talent we have in our hands and with the correct guidance under Pochettino, we could be looking at a very very special player.

4: Typical Tottenham.

How many times have we done this? We have been doing it the hard way since 1882, but oh boy, do we love it. It's always great scoring a late goal, but to score two against West Ham to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat is just a unique and special feeling. It's just another late goal to add to the collection of our many late goals against West Ham. Gareth Bale, Harry Kane a few seasons ago, and Harry Kane now, the late goals vs West Ham just really do feel so sweet.

5: Family feel at the club.

The bond we have between our players is something else, but what is even more heartfelt is the bond between the backroom staff/coaches. Harry Kane and the rest of the squad were celebrating whilst Pochettino and Toni Jimenez and Jesus Perez shared a very passionate hug. Furthermore, seeing that celebration from Harry Winks was special. It brought back memories of the celebration between AvB and Gareth Bale. It really shows a family feel at the club, and a feel that can only benefit us in the future.
