Southampton 1-4 Spurs - Things learned

Article by Lovepreet Deol

Dele Alli, the man that brings us back - Dele Alli, yet again, scores a vital goal in order for us to come back from 1-0 down. He did it vs CSKA where we came back and won 3-1. He did it against Burnley where we also won, and now he's done it against Southampton. Keep it up Dele.

Spurs in 2016 - It's been one of the finest calendar years to be a Spurs fan. Famous victories over Manchester City (twice) Manchester United and of course that comeback against West Ham has made it a very good year. Yes, we did not win the league as we hoped last season, but overall, it's been a fantastic campaign. We racked up 71 points in the calendar year, more than we ever have, here's to 2017!

Sissoko is starting to prove himself - Having signed on the final day of the transfer window for a hefty price of £30 million, we wanted Sissoko to play well straight from the off. It's been a below par start for him, but the last 5 or so games, he's been good. He's used his creative side to the game which was evident today for the through ball which lead to the penalty and the red card. He's not as lazy as some fans are calling him. It's looking good for him!

  1. Cheers to you giving some support to Sissoko. It seems almost every guy Spurs bring in struggles to adapt at first. Lamela was considered a flop those first 2 years. And Soldudo....well I guess he never truly got better. Overall, Sissoko shows strength and directness towards goal that almost no other Spurs player shows.

If there's one guy I do worry about, it's Janssen as he just seems too slow. I've seen numerous strikers like him in the Championship....bagging a lot of goals...but they just don't seem to have that extra bit to come good in the EPL.
