As these exclusive to e-Spurs pics reveal, demolition work on some of the buildings at the front of the stadium has now begun, giving us the biggest clue so far as to Spurs intentions with regards to the new stadium location. Gone are the old Spurs Store, Members Office and other abandoned shop space. Stay tuned to e-Spurs for further updates and pics on the work!

ReplyDeletePlaying Bilbao. does anyone think the whole Olympic Stadium news today with WH looking into private investigator thing have any legs???
ReplyDeletemeans nothing at all - you demolish the buildings otherwise you have to pay rates on them whilst they sit empty for however many years
ReplyDeleteit's about time..bring it on and lets make the best ground in London..COYS

ReplyDeleteUnless this was taken at the weekend or during a tea break there seems to be a decided lack of site activity :)
ReplyDeleteDrove past there today and if the new stadium doesn't go ahead there is going to be a lot of empty derelict ground around there.
ReplyDeleteAt the very least this means Spurs received demolition permission from the council. Does that they mean they also have permits to build? Who knows, but I've seen this tactic before where a landowner demolishes existing buildings in order to apply pressure to local government. After all, what public leader(s) wants a lot of dead space in their community for a long time?

How can it be to do with the new lillywhite suite you bafoon!
Lolz!
The new lillywhite suite which is going to similar to most of the new suites at the new stadium, is quite obviously an internal refurb of a section of corporate area.
Lol if you think its some big building going next to WHL or WHL being partly extended by the west stand into that land.
ha ha
Calm down dear its only a building site! Sorry to be a stick in the mud but I'd be careful getting my hopes up about this. The pervious poster got it spot on - no need to pay rates if a building doesn't exist!
ReplyDeleteAre you watching arsenel?
ReplyDeletepossibly down to planning regulations where by work has to start within a specific period or the planning permission lapses thereby causing additional costs in order to go through planning once more. and obviously the club is trying to keep all avenues open at present (and in terms of rates it would actually cost more to demolish than pay the rates as the rateable value is minimal)
ReplyDeletematch day car parking in the short term, while we wait!
ReplyDeleteJust hope it isnt Woolwich wanderers expanding ..
