A ‘dream come true’ for Townsend, Spurs sold ‘crocked’ Bale to Madrid and Paulinho to Madrid?

A ‘dream come true’ for Townsend:

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend described scoring on his debut for England as a, “Dream come true,” following England’s 4 – 1 win against Montenegro.

The tricky speedster has been on excellent form for his club and now for his country after a man-of-the-match performance on Friday.

Townsend told Spurs' official website, “I'm so proud to have represented my country and to play well and score really is a dream come true.

I tried to play my normal game and everything went well. The most important thing was the win, it was a huge game.

It hasn't really sunk in yet. All I'm thinking about is Poland on Tuesday and then it's back to Spurs and preparing for Villa.

JD (Jermain Defoe) and Kyle (Walker) have been giving me a bit of stick (about not scoring), so it's nice to keep them quiet for a while!”

Spurs sold ‘crocked’ Bale to Madrid:

Spanish newspaper Marca claim that Spurs sold a ‘crocked’ player to Real Madrid by saying that Bale has lumbar disc hernia which may require surgery.

Marca say that the Real Madrid medical team is keeping a close eye on the progression of the injury and are unsure what the short or long term effects will be.

“The question is how long he can keep going in this condition. It could be months, years or even his whole career. It is practically impossible to estimate the evolution of Bale's injury,” the paper said.”

Marca reported that the winger knows the extent of his injury and he will be, “Working on the abdominal and dorsal area to the maximum if he wants to delay the onset of pain to the maximum.”

Paulinho to Madrid?

Italian newspaper TuttoMercato have suggested that Real Madrid have not finished plundering Spurs’ talent pool as they line up a bid Paulinho.

The Brazilian box to box midfielder has impressed in his inaugural season in the Premier League and the Spanish giants are said to be keeping tabs on him.

Paulinho has adapted well to the English game and many will believe there is much more to come from him as he gels further with the Tottenham side.

It is very unlikely that Paulinho will leave in January as he has practically been the first name on the team sheet since his arrival.
