What a sham this club we love is turning into. It’s difficult to support this club when it has more drama than a day time soap opera. I truly mean when I say, “Why did I choose Spurs?” It is becoming tiresome and bordering on calamitous the saga’s that is currently playing out everyday............ And it leads to Levy. This impetuous, small mined and rather obnoxious person runs this club. We read how Levy wants to block the move of Holtby to Schalke!! Why because he’s spat the dummy over the supposed move of Draxler to Arsenal. Why does this man not just go-away somewhere and grow old. Rarely do you hear from the owners or CEO’s from other clubs, we have Foghorn Leghorn. Someone explain to me how he is still in business at Tottenham. Like a spoilt brat on Xmas day, he’s handed a bucket load of cash and blows it on the first thing he sees with no thought on why or what reason we are buying..

The purchase of Holtby, Chadli even Sigurosson always perplexed me. I read today that Chadli is not a left winger but prefers going through the middle, so who got it wrong, Levy Baldini or AVB? The guy is talented no doubt but why buy him in the first place. Holtby is in the same category, great energy and talented. Someone explain to me please as I need to know, the three I mentioned along with Dawson, Rose Fryers, Kaboul and even Adebayor, are they the type of players that will take this club to the next level? We needed two new strikers, got one, we needed a CH, got one, we needed two fullbacks, got none, but hey we have midfielders by the dozen.
Chiriches, Paulinho, Soldado, (yes) Lamela, Capoue and Eriksen are world class. Capoue has shown even briefly to be a better all-round player than Sandro, sorry that’s my opinion. What-ever Robin of Sherwood does, I sincerely hope he does not offload any of these players. Some weeks ago I made mention that the managers seat is fast becoming a poison chalice, so is the case in trying to get the quality of players required to make as an “Emerging Force”. Interesting use of words on one of the many Tottenham team photo’s. If the attitude of this club dosen’t change and change soon it will be the “Emerging Farce”.
Levy under pressure |
It goes to say we could lose three, possibly four player came Jan 31st. A great advert for such a stable club!

I disagree - you are embarrasing!!! The above article is what is wrong with some Spurs supporters.
ReplyDeleteLevy has moved the club forward since the day ENIC took over. We are no longer a bottom half of the table/pushing for 7th place (remember those days with a team of players all over the age of 30) but where we are disapointed that we finished 5th.
Every other club outside of the top 4 would love to be in Tottenhams position, we can attract players, have a young squad of internationals & have a stable wage structure - im not sure where you think we should be? Should we be above Man City or Chelsea who have spent millions, Man Utd are having a blib so does that automaticly mean we should be 3rd. We are in the pack chasing for 3rd spot and you are criticising!!! Each time we have sold a player (Carrick, Berbatov, Modric, Bale) we have re-invested the money and improved as a team and I see no reason why we will not improve again. I bet last year you moaned we are a one man team.
Get behind your club or go and disgrace another team by apparantly supporting them. Hold your head in shame!!!
U moan that levy spent his money like a child then list 6 or the 7 players we bought as world class. Stop ranting & support the club u idiot
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like you support the other (supposedly) North London mob - so you really think we should help that lot get a player they want.....you MUG!!!
ReplyDeleteThis has to be probably one of the most biased, unbalanced articles I've read regarding spurs. Completely disregarding all the good Levy and ENIC have done for us, instead fixated upon some blinkered personal vendetta. Speak for yourself, but I assure you that you do not speak for the majority. Are you Chelsea in disguise? With that attitude and sense of entitlement I certainly think so. Please don't write anymore articles, not only are you embarrassing our club, you're embarrassing yourself. It's cringe worthy. Devoid of any fact and completely ignoring all positives. Sherwood may have been trying to motivate Capoue who, for all we know, may well be lazy in training (turned up late too according to reports)? I'm re-reading the article while writing this and you just don't seem to know what you're talking about! Just incoherent rage. Focus your energies on actually educating yourself and learning to see past the end of your nose...
ReplyDeleteWe've re-invested in which players. The sale of Bale, Berbatov, Carrick and Modric netted, and I apologies here as I'm guessing, 189m pound. We've bought 7 players who have never played in the EPL, we've seen 15 managers full and care-taker in the time Wenger and Ferguson have and held power at there respective clubs, we've chewed up player after player. Answer me one question, how great would Spurs be if they held there nerve and refused the four players you mentioned above? Levy has taken Spurs in the right direction no argument there Stefan, but he also has too much power and influence on the full running of the club. Remember, and its happening now, everytime you change Manager, the style, personnel, back-room staff change dramatically. We may as have kept Harry, because we are currently duplicating his game plan. Levy, and again it's my opinion Stefan, has overstayed his welcome. Either be a CEO and do it right or leave.
ReplyDeleteHere's an article from 101 great goals and it reads -
Assessing how Sherwood has managed to get off to a decent start as a club manager, commentator Paul Doyle guffed:
It’s definitely just kind of happened. There is no master plan in operation there. In fact the master plan that they seemed to unveil in the summer, they seem to be gradually taking apart.
They spent a fortune on new players, entrusted it to Andre Villas-Boas, and then they ditched him within a few months for a complete managerial novice who apparently didn’t have much input into the recruitment strategy over the summer despite being the head of development
[Sherwood] has ousted some of the new purchases and replaced them with youngsters with whom he has more faith. It’s a complete change in direction. Whether it will work or not, I don’t know.
James Horncastle then chimed in with his two cents, calling Tottenham’s recent managerial changes as “bad planning”, and then delivering the zinger:
For Spurs, they have gone back to the modus operandi of Harry Redknapp which is 4-4-2 with a couple of wingers bombing on. It makes you wonder why they got rid of him… It’s ridiculous.
The reason "us" Spurs fans are fed up has something to do that we never seem to get it right, there's always an issue, a problem, a dilemma. As much as it grates me, our Arch rivals have what we desire and before you jump down my throat, their record and achievement would make you happy Stefan if it was Spurs instead hey!
Have no fear, no one reading this will have been convinced you are a Spurs fan. If you truly believe everything you read, most of which is unsubstantiated hearsay and media fabrication then no doubt you will come up with your own absurd nonsense, the kind of which you have written above. If you do yourself and us a favour by stop writing articles like this, you can save yourself the perceived embarrassment you allude to by choosing to support Spurs, slip out the back door and no one will ever remember you were here in the first place.
ReplyDelete'Why does this man not just go-away somewhere and grow old'
ReplyDeleteIf we held our nerve and didnt sell Carrick, would we have signed Berbatov or Modric or Bale? What has VDV done since leaving Spurs?
ReplyDeleteI am a realist, Spurs are not the biggest club in the world with unlimited funds, players use Spurs as a stepping stone but Spurs use the players as stepping stones also. Who knows, maybe in 6 or 18 months we will sell Paulinho for £40m or Townsend for £50m or Lamala for £100m and Spurs will re-invest. Every player has a value. Plus the wages that go with a top player.
The rest of the season isnt going to be easy, but with the new signing hopefully now settled, the injured getting back to fitness, Ade back in the fold & with a bit of luck I think Spurs are as good as any other team to finish in the top 4.
Who is this idiot....after City and Chavski..and perhaps LPool...Spurs have spent more money than any time in EPL in the last 10 years......Levy has done a great job...remember that useless cxxt Sugar...so if you hate it so much,,,fxxxoff and support someone else eh.
ReplyDeleteIt is not a bad thing that Levy wants to keep Holtby to stop the Draxler move. You've got to be an idiot to think otherwise. Terrible article.
