On the whole, Tottenham have surpassed expectations this year, losing just two league matches all term.
They have three wins from their last four, and rightly go into this fixture as firm favourites.
Winning the FA Cup is an achievable target for Mauricio Pochettino. He could well name a full-strength side as he attempts to bring the trophy back to White Hart Lane for the first time since 1991.
Claudio Ranieri’s men haven’t scored in three matches – the most recent game being an uninspiring 0-0 draw with Premier League new boys Bournemouth.
Claudio Ranieri’s men haven’t scored in three matches – the most recent game being an uninspiring 0-0 draw with Premier League new boys Bournemouth.
News of Vardy needing minor groin surgery has only added to Ranieri’s frustrations.
Tottenham's defence has been formidable at home this season, conceding just seven goals on their own turf.
With Vardy missing and Mahrez likely to be rested ahead of two Premier League games next week this could be a very interesting one, hopefully ending with a place in the forth round for Spurs.
Premier League - Watford 1-2 Tottenham
Premier League - Tottenham 3-0 Norwich
Premier League - Southampton 0-2 Tottenham

Premier League - Leicester 0-0 Bournemouth

Stat Attack
- Of the last 5 meetings between these two sides both have 2 victories with one game drawn.
- It is now 25 years since Tottenham's last FA Cup triumph. Leicester have yet to win the trophy but have finshed as runner-up in the competition on 5 occasions.
- The sides have contested 11 FA Cup matches (including one replay). Tottenham have claimed seven wins to Leicester's three.
- But Leicester have won both encounters since the turn of the century: 3-2 in the third round in 2006, and 2-1 in the fourth round last season.
- Spurs beat Leicester in the 1961 final, becoming the first club to do the Double in the 20th century.
Teams News - Tottenham
Ryan Mason (ankle), Mousa Dembele (groin), Clinton Njie (knee) and Alex Pritchard (ankle) remain sidelined.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will rotate his squad, so Nacer Chadli, Danny Rose, Nabil Bentaleb and Son Heung-Min could earn starts.
Teams News - Leicester
Leicester's Jamie Vardy is out after groin surgery but new signing Demarai Gray could make his debut on the wing.
Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri will also make changes, with Gokhan Inler, Shinji Okazaki and Ritchie De Laet amongst the players hoping for recalls.

With both sides meeting twice in the space of 4 days I am expecting Mauricio Pochettino to shuffle the pack in terms of player selections for both games.
While the FA Cup should always remain of high importance to the club, we shouldn't forget how imperative the tie on Wednesday is due to how closely placed both sides are in the league, I think Pochettino may look to rest one or two of his regular starters.
In terms of rotation of Goalkeepers we seem to see this quite a lot in cup competitions. Will Pochettino give Vorm the chance to redeem himself after last year's howler against the same opponents at the same stage in the competition which saw us bow out, or will he go with reliability & safety in the form of Hugo Lloris.
I am expecting Pochettino to rotate the full-backs with Trippier & Rose coming in, while I can possibly see Wimmer also getting start alongside either Vertonghen & Alderweireld.
With regards to the midfield I am expecting to see possibly Bentaleb, Mason & Chadli feature, while Pochettino may take the unlikely choice amongst fans to rest Kane for the league fixture on Wednesday.
For those who listen to the e-Spurs podcast, they will know how important I think Pochettino should take the cup competitions & with that being the case I hope Pochettino picks an XI which is strong enough to oversee a Leicester City side which is also most likely to make changes with a view to Wednesday's league match in mind.

Let's hope that revenge is a dish best served cold given the fact have Spurs have been drawn against Leicester at home again in the 3rd round of the FA cup. I was present at The Lane last January when we somehow threw away a lead and Michel Vorm managed to let the ball slip through him into the net as we crashed out at the hands of Leicester. I will be present again this weekend and I'm hoping for a much different outcome!
The fact that Jamie Vardy has been ruled out could help, although the likes of Okazaki & Ulloa will want to impress Claudio Ranieri in his absence. I expect a much different Spurs starting XI to the one which performed so well at Goodison Park last time out and I can see the likes of Nabil Bentaleb, Heung Min-Son, Danny Rose & Nacer Chadli all getting a start here. I hope we see a real end-to-end, exciting cup tie given that a replay doesn't help either club.
I'm going for a home win (obviously!), Tottenham Hotspur 3 Leicester City 1. COYS!

Is it really 35 years since the release of Ossie’s Dream !!! Is it really 25 years since we last won a trophy that defines the club !!! In amongst all the top-4 debates, it really is time we brought that great cup back to WHL for the 9th time.
Back to back games with Leicester may see great rotation from both clubs, but bringing in players like Trippier, Rose, Mason, Bentaleb, Chadli, Son etc is hardly weakening the side. The big key is do we go with Lloris or Vorm, and do we go with Kane up front or rest him bearing in mind we again have 3 games in 6 days.
Whatever side is picked, I’m backing us for a 2-0 win, and really hope it starts a push for Wembley. Just remember how much we all looked forward to that Wembley date last season.
