In a recent interview, Tottenham Manager Mauricio Pochettino stated that he could stay at Spurs for another 20 years such is his ambition for the club, the team and the supporters.

MP: You know Jesus, I'm not sure I can do this anymore.....
Jesus Perez: hang on a minute this trophy won't fit in the cabinet, must see President Levy and ask him to build another one.....do what anymore....
MP: be manager here, how long have we been here now....
JP: 23 years, why you thinking like this, today of all days, we should be on the pitch joining the lads for the lap of honour....
MP: I know, but I'm getting older, I'm 65, maybe it's time to hand over to a younger man, you know Kane has finished his badges now and is keen to step up from the Under 21 squad...
JP: but we have just won the Premier League Title again, we have the Cup Final next week and the Champions League Final the week after, surely you can't quit now....
MP: I know, but we are so dominant, we have produced over and over again the most successful team in this clubs history, maybe I need a new challenge.....
JP: but your the most revered manager this club has ever had, 12 Premier League Titles, 7 FA Cup Trophies, 10 League Cup's and of course Champions of Europe a mere 6 times during your reign.....
JP: he is in his seventies mind you, not sure Argentina have the heart to tell him it's time to go....
MP: would be appealing a job like that, nice kind of pre-retirement role, doing your bit for the country....
JP: President Levy was talking about putting a Mauricio Pochettino statue up outside the Kop, wouldn't you like to see that go up first.....
MP: he has been promising that for years, you know what he is like, will wait until someone comes in with a lower quote...
JP: but what about the fans, they idolise you, you are bigger than Bill Nic, you can do no wrong....Mauricio Pochettino.....he's magic you know
MP: I know, I love the fans, love the club, this fantastic stadium but I have a desire to go home....
JP: well, you know what is best, after 23 years of success I would never question your judgement, think of the memories though, remember when we sent Arsenal down to the Championship on their own patch....
MP: that was good, last game of the season, we need a draw to win the title, they need to win to stay up, we score two goals in injury time and become champions, they go down.....our fans that day, they didn't leave the Emirates for six hours after the final whistle....what a day...
JP: what about our 1st Champions League win, do you remember the bus route back to the stadium, it took us all night, the fans crying, the ticker tape as we all celebrated the triple.
MP: good times Jesus, not to mention the look on Klopp's face when we won the Cup that year, think he was surprised we put the reserves out in an FA Cup Final and still walked off with the trophy....
JP: do you really want to end all this, we could make so many more memories.... The phone rings in MP office, Mauricio answers it and holds a short conversation.
MP: Jesus
JP: what....
MP: no, I mean Jesus, that was Sir Daniel, he is coming down to the office, says he has a surprise for me....
JP: maybe it's that statue at last....
MP: wouldn't have thought so, he didn't sound that happy....

DL: good, well I have a surprise for you, something to mark your years of service and the honours you have brought to this club.....
JP: is it the statue for outside the Kop Sir Daniel.....
DL: heavens no, do you know how much that robbing artist wanted for that.....no, Mauricio I have honoured your achievements in a far better way and I might say for a fraction of the cost, come and look out of the window.... The three men glance out of the window and look at a stadium full of Tottenham fans celebrating another league title with their heroes performing a lap of honour...
MP: what are we looking at Mr President.....
DL: patience Mauricio, just watch the Park Lane stand, see that large curtain in the middle....
MP: yes...it's very......Jesus
JP: yes....
MP: no I mean Jesus, look at that.... The curtain is removed to reveal the words....Mauricio Pochettino Stand......the fans applaud widely and all turn to the window and start to sing the MP song....
MP: Mr President that is a wonderful gesture, thank you so much, I am very proud and humbled....
DL: I'm glad you like it Mauricio, it will stay there for all this clubs history........and at only £15 a letter...a bargain as well....see you outside gentlemen....
JP: well that is amazing Mauricio, does it change your thinking at all...
MP: you know what Jesus, let's give it another season......
