Despite playing a close to full strength side and dominating the possession stats Spurs looked clumsy at times and slow on the break. Leicester however looked sharp when attacking and the ever reliable Lloris was forced to deny both Vardy and Mahrez in the first half.
Too many Spurs players failed to put in the big performance needed in a crucial game and the strain on Harry Kane seems to be showing with the big man huffing and puffing but failing to break through a resolute Leicester defence.

Those who question Poch think:
1) Where he's taken us
2) Brand of football we're playing.
3) Options he has to change a game.

Too many sideways balls and big players not performing and nothing to change it to when it's not going right. Need to buy a forward #THFC

Shame about the result today. Deserved more but that's football. Still plenty to be happy about. Let's get back on track Saturday!

Plenty of strikers within reach for Spurs should Levy wish to invest...
Immobile, Austin, Berahino, Ings, Vardy, many more #COYS

It's one game it's not a crisis, play like that against Sunderland and we win 5-0, best chance of Top 4 in years, we must do it this year ⚽️

Whilst he may not be having such a great season, we definitely miss Eriksen's quality when he goes off. Very composed and mature #thfc #thfc

Hate to say it but Spurs have dropped 5 points out of 6 already this year due to lack of a cutting edge. Should have brought in an ST. #THFC

Having a presence of another striker will free up Kane! When we sold Soldado we needed to buy a replacement! This is down to Levy! #THFC

Every credit to Leicester. But come on, this is laughable. Leicester FFS. I used to loan them money to open the gates! #THFC Embarrassment!

It's a seeding year ! Take grip of performance and add the missing edge (striker) we should be crushing well next year ! Plenty of positive thou
ReplyDeleteSome people saying its one game...the point is it isn't! We've dominated possession in games against Newcastle Everton and Leicester twice and and got two points from those games losing twice at home in the process! I'm almost ashamed to say that I had us down as drawing or losing the game last night 0-1, we are becoming predictable and I really fear for our chances of finishing top 4. Right now if I was going to put money on it I would say we won't.
ReplyDeleteTop 4 wont happen if we continue like this. Dominating games means zero if you can't win! We are beginnng to start living up to all the sceptics predictions and being typical Tottenham by slowly falling away from contention. Frankly I couldn't argue with them
ReplyDeletePlaying Carroll over Dembele in a game of this importance was pure madness! It shows the chinks in Poch's armour and will prove to be our downfall. Top 6 for us this season not top 4, I'm convinced of that now after this game.
ReplyDeleteBoring and predictable... MOPO OUT!
ReplyDeleteI bet our manager can't understand why spurs lost I can just bad player changes llamela should have been taken off instead of Erikson after that change we lost shape
