This game suddenly doesn't look quite so predictable as it might have done a couple of weeks ago. Following our midweek defeat by Leicester, Tottenham have now lost two of our last three at home in the league at a time when struggling Sunderland have come to life.

Spurs fans know all about Jermain Defoe, who returns to White Hart Lane with five goals in two matches, including a hat-trick at Swansea - his first in the league since netting five for us against Wigan in 2009.
If the former England striker can maintain his form, he could be the key factor in keeping Sunderland up.
Harry Kane is just as important for Tottenham at the other end of the table but, good as he is, we surely need more than one top quality striker to share the load.

Sunderland and my first thought is welcome home Jermain Defoe. Always loved a striker that wanted to shoot and lived for scoring goals. His goal compilation showed plenty of stunning goals.
Obviously, after the disappointment of the last 7 days we need to bounce back with a win, ideally a convincing one but Sunderland will be buoyed by tgeir own midweek wen and JD with his hat-trick.
I exoect Sam to look to hang on as much as they can but am sure we will find a way through. I'll go for a 2-0 Spurs win with the 2-0 a dominant one.

After 2 disappointing results against Leicester, the perfect pick me up must be a home match against a struggling side, right? I would usually agree, but after having 40-odd goes at goal in the last 2 games and only scoring twice, one being a penalty, it's clear to see that when our Harry isn't firing on all cylinders, nor do we as a team. In all the big wins we've had this season, Harry has scored at least once (vs Man City), twice (vs West Ham) or 3 times (vs Bournemouth). We scored at least 4 in each of those games and it was only against a poor Monaco side where we also bagged 4, without Harry scoring.
Erik Lamela was the star of the show that night and I expect him to be again on Saturday vs Sunderland. His form has been encouraging to say the least this season and it's no coincidence that when Lamela has played well, so has the whole team. If a player whose first 2 seasons in this league were as bad as his, can step up and really make himself an important part of the first XI, so can any player.
No doubt Sunderland will be buoyed by putting 4 past Swansea this week but I expect a bubble burst of epic proportions at White Hart Lane on Saturday. Just like we did with Norwich on Boxing Day after their memorable win at Old Trafford, I expect Tottenham to bring their opponents crashing back down to earth.
I predict a 3-0 home win with Kane or Lamela (or both) to be on the scoresheet. COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
