e-Spurs Daily Dose - Media Rant

I've just had the 'pleasure' of reading the latest report which very Kindly informed me that Mssr Zidane was just about to board a plane to N17 to discuss a deal for Bale. I seriously can't remember the last time that one club acted towards another with such disrespect.....oh wait, I forgot Modric didn't I!

Firstly, if I ever hear the words Bale, Zidane, or the former being commented on by an ex player, 'ITK' or Fleet Street rag again I may consider a self imposed Twitter ban until September 1st.

Let's get something straight here. No matter how desperately the media hacks and opposition clubs want Bale to leave our 'tiny mess of a club' that is Spurs, I have some info for you:

FACT - Bale has 3 years on his contract

FACT - If Spurs say he is going nowhere.... guess what, he's going nowhere! There's nothing that Zidane, Moyes, Cross, Mcmanaman, Thierry Henry, or Nelson bloomin Mandela for that matter can do.

FACT - Bales agent can play the clueless hero but he will have known as soon as the interview was proposed that there was only one question that he would be asked. If he wasn't stirring trouble and wasn't going to dismiss the reports, why accept the interview unless you are stirring?

FACT - There's no airport in N17 and based on the state of the train station poor ol' Zinedine might be waiting a while for the runway to be built.

FACT - Could you possibly be more arrogant than to plan to fly over for discussions about a player when THERE ARE NO DISCUSSIONS!

FACT - This is no longer 'breaking news', in the same way that Maureen returning to Chelski is no longer 'breaking news'. Infact its about as breaking now as the fall of the Berlin Wall.

So, for those ex pros and media rats who are DESPERATE for Bale to leave Spurs.....sorry but you and Mssr Zidane might just end up feeling like us Spurs fans normally do at midnight on transfer deadline day - disappointed.

That's it for today's Dose. Think I could do with a one myself!

Night All ;)

Appreceiate where you are coming from here.Much of the Tabloid press in the uk.Especially the Sun/Mirror ect are out and out gooner lovers,so I would take any of their articles as down right bullshit. They never have any good thing to say about Tottenham or many other clubs come to that. Its a bit like asking Mr.Wenger if he saw any of his players doing anything naughty on on the field. If its any consolation the Press, here in NZ,are a bit like that when it comes to the All Blacks. They are just Saints.Yeah right.

  3. I don't understand why our press think that Bale has to leave us to play in the CL. We missed out this year by 2 points and last year by a very lucky Chelski. So there's no reason why, with a little bit of proper investment, we can't qualify for CL every year and eventually challenge for the title. But that all goes out the window if we sell Bale. The press should be begging him to stay and help break the stranglehold of Manchester instead of banging on about how he needs to leave to improve his career.
