Another
day, another angry Spaniard
Transfers
So
we are quickly approaching the end of the month and the closing of
the transfer window with a good level of uncertainty still
surrounding our club and a specific individual. The latest news
happens to revolve around how “he who shall not be named” has not
reported for training the past two days, which is very saddening.
Regardless
of whether or not you don’t want to be there, you are still under
contract so you should respect your employer. Be a man, don’t hide
behind agents or other BS. As much as I want to leave my current full
time job, I do respect it and the people I work with enough to give
100% until I am no longer affiliated with them, so why can’t he? Oh
right, because contracts mean nothing in sports anymore as long as
there is another club out there that is more glamorous willing to pay
a boatload of money for my services. I’m not mad, I am just
disappointed in the way he has gone along with this mess masterminded
by his agent and the jerks at Real. Truly a sad state of affairs in
world football. Oh well, they still have to deal with Levy, a process
even the Devil doesn’t enjoy. He will go the Madrid, but just on
our terms and when we decide to let him go. Suck it Perez.
Erik
Lamela was still training at Roma this morning even though there were
numerous unverified reports that he was down in Enfield. The good
news in this specific saga is that Roma have signed Adam Ljaji to
replace Lamela so this should be the catalyst in the two transfer
deals. I am still confident that Erik will be wearing Lilywhite by
the weekend, which will be nice.
Still
rumours of Christian Eriksen being looked at and a few outlets are
reporting that we even made a bid for the Danish playmaker of around
£8.6 mil. Is it true? Maybe,
but if he was to come in, we would most definitely be looking to
offload one of Siggy, Holtby or Carroll. Of those three, I wouldn’t
be too heartbroken about Siggy leaving as he is the oldest of the 3
and has had plenty of chances to impress, with mixed results. If he
comes in, cool, if not, no biggie.
The Vlad
ChiricheÅŸ deal is done and
should be announced later this week, possibly even tomorrow. Good
player, capable of building from the back and should fit right into
AVB’s system. Plus, he is versatile as he can play left-back and
defensive mid with success.
Derby
Day Approaches
Only a
few more days and we will be gracing the pitch of the Emirates with
our presence. I for one, cannot wait for this match as it is time
that we really throw down the gauntlet and smack down those red
wearing bums. Nothing would make me happier than seeing a midfield 3
of Capoue, Sandro and Paulinho push around “Golden Boy” Jack
Wilshere and Co., forcing them into submission, leaving them
quivering and crying in an empty corner of the passion-less stadium
they inhabit.
Going
on a Europa Tour
Finally,
this Thursday will be the conclusion of our Europa League Playoff
with Dinamo Tbilisi. It looks like it is already in the bag as we
beat them in their own stadium by a score line of 5 nil, but strange
things do occur from time to time. Will they be able to beat us and
win by at least 5 goals? Not a chance, but could a surprise be on the
books and the Georgian side beat us in our own hallowed ground?
Maybe, they can beat us at the Lane but it won’t be against too
many of our regulars as they will more than likely be rested for the
derby this Sunday. Therefore, I can say with almost 100% certainty,
we will be one of the top seeds in the Europa League Group Stage when
the groups are drafted this Friday.
And that
should be about it for today. Just got news that Roma HAS agreed a
fee with Spurs for the transfer of Erik Lamela which is great, but
until he is presented on the Tottenham website holding a shirt AVB
standing next to him, I refuse to believe anything. But this is good
news at the moment. Thanks for reading! COYS!

ReplyDeleteIm so sad bale has resorted to doing this. He is showing his age. He is a boy afterall. Only just turned 24 so hard to expect him to feel a sense of honour and respect. But he has let me down the way he has acted. He has let the fans down. He is weak. Not strong enough to control his agent and to see now isnt the right time. Next year is. He has been well and truly manipulated by the snake himself....mr barnett. Who cant wait for his commission to come through
