The dust is starting to settle
Today is the big day. The day that we looked for the moment the fixture list came out. The greatest rivalry in history of football, the North London Derby. Spurs vs. Arsenal, good vs. bad, class vs. douchebaggery. So many different clichés can be used to describe this match but I will spare you the phrases and just skip right to the rapidly closing transfer window. The summary of the match will be later.
Transfer Trifecta
What other club in the world could announce three class players signing for them in the space of 24 hrs? I’ll give you a second to think about that one while I drool over the idea of ErikLamela, Vlad Chricheş and Christian Eriksen. TottenhamHotspur, that’s who is able to make three massive signings for relatively cheap while still making a certain classless Spanish club wait to sign an unnamed Welshman. Yup, we did that. We made the largest club in the world look like fools as they needed to take down a recently constructed stage which was made to parade their soon to be new no.11 while still being able to do our business. Love those pictures of the stage being taken down by the way. I mean really, which other club could say that they stood up to the hypocritical and classless organization known as Real Madrid and won? One up for us.
Back to our signings, all class individuals with plenty of technical abilities and versatility. All signings specifically targeted by AVB over the summer as news has recently filtered out about the June meeting in the Bahamas where Andre, Daniel and Joe Lewis laid out plans to sell the golden boy and retool the entire squad, bringing in players which Andre felt could play in his system and turn Tottenham into contenders with multiple match winners as opposed to pretenders with one superstar. AVB gave Daniel and Joe a list of players that he wanted and unless the names included Messi, Ronaldo, Ibra or Ribery, I think it may be safe to say that AVB got who he wanted. A magnificent seven. A group of players who other
clubs in the world would move mountains for, yet we, the 5th best squad in England, were able to get all of them for reasonable money. I say that in itself, is a major victory over all our rivals.

We lost. I can’t really say much more than that as I was working in the lab all morning, therefore I was only able to catch the last few minutes. We didn’t look great, but does it really matter when it is this early in the season? Probably not, but I’m sure our neighbors will be mouthing off all season until the return match at the Lane. Capoue off injured, hopefully it’s not too bad as he played well in the other matches that I have been able to watch. Hats off to them, they defended well and scored a goal, something that we just could not accomplish today. No biggie, just another learning experience which we will grow from as a team. And that is just about that. No need to whine or cry, just get up, dust yourself off and move on.Onwards and upwards.
COYS!!!!
I would like to wish Gareth and his family all the best for the future and thanks forl your every thing all the good times and the not so good .you will be missed ♡11... we looked like a team finding it's feet and as the season goes on we will improve. the new signings will gel with the rest of the team and then I reckon we'll be a force. The more this game went on the more we pressured the gooners but I must admit soldado did look very isolated today but I think erikson will sort that out with lamela ..COYS
